Canada is investing in a healthy economy

Today, we had special visitors at our Guelph dishwashing facility! Filomena Tassi, minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, and Lloyd Longfield, Guelph MP, met with Friendlier's co-founders, Jacquie Hutchings and Kayli Dale, with exciting news. They announced Friendlier as a recipient of $500 000 in funding from FedDev Ontario!

We're grateful to be one of three sustainable Canadian food packaging companies that received this investment from the government. Since our launch only a few years ago, we've reused over 400 thousand food containers, prevented 67 thousand kilograms of greenhouse gas emissions, diverted 23 thousand kilograms of plastic waste, and saved over 3 million litres of water. This funding will help us bring reusable containers to new cities across Canada and grow our positive impact exponentially!

The reuse revolution is gaining momentum, and we're ecstatic to have FedDev's support in leading the movement towards a circular economy.
